WEDNESDAY'S WORD

  1. I used to have a bad case of "tsundoku", but since we've moved a few times since then, a good culling has curbed my habit.
I still have a few too many books in the bookcase I've been meaning to take to the charity shop for someone else to enjoy :)

  4. Vicki,
I can't resist buying books when I find them at Goodwill or at the Sale at the library! It's an addiction!
I always end up reading the books I checked out from the library and saving those for a rainy day that never comes.
    sigh.

Some day I hope to be more like you and have no piles...of anything!

    Have a great day!

  7. I can't seem to resist buying bargain books at garage sales and thrift stores. Eventually I will get around to reading them but by then I will have more. There were some lovely old children's books at a garage sale the other day. I only bought two. I wanted to rescue them all, the would look so cool on a shelf but alas, I have no more shelf space! And am quickly running out of nightstand and floor space!

  8. Christer,
I know that you actually read your books. :)
I have a stack and yet I still go to the library and check out more.
I need to be like you and read what I have. I guess I will add this to the list of things I SHOULD do!
    LOL!

  9. Jan,
Yesterday when I stopped at the library to pick up the DVD I had ordered in, I found they were having their monthly book sale and I'm proud to announce that I did NOT go into that room and look!
Yep, it was killing me but I didn't do it.
(I did check out several childrens books though, I love looking at the illustrations!)

  10. Leslie,
Someday I hope to be much more like you and have only what I need or what is beautiful to me.
    I'm working on it, really.
    (baby steps)
    LOL!
