we have a lot of those here too. we call them starlings. they all seem to fly in packs! they settle in one huge tree always. and then they graze in fields of grass like tiny black cattle!
for huge flocks of starlings they have a special name: Murmuration--there are some wonderful videos under that title from various parts of the world--really beautiful
