I don't care how irrational it is, but next year I am getting a pool!
If I always did what makes sense, I'd still be working at the bank.
And married to that "nice" guy.
I have to think about what makes ME happy.
If my dogs are HAPPY, I'm happy.
So, I don't know how I'm going to do it because I am currently completely broke.
But - "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.” – Seneca
So I am going start working right now on the ravine area of the bottom of my yard.
Hopefully I won't get HEAT STROKE!
Have a Happy Fun Safe Fourth! (check out my other blog for 4th of July dog safety tips!) -

Oh..I loved these pics of all the dogs in the water. Makes me think I should go get a wading pool for mine. I don't think they would use it though. They had one when they were puppies and liked it but when they grew up they didn't care about it any more.
I can just imagine you and all your brood floating around in a pool. My old dog Puddin used to float on a raft. I never would have allowed that activity. I left her with my neighbors one summer weekend and they came to pick me up at the airport with my dog and they were all dressed in bathing suits. Puddin crawled into my lap exhausted. They said she'd been at the lake with them all day...swimming and on a raft and had photos to prove it!
I never would have approved of that. Still frightens me to death to think she was on a lake all day. I never left her with them again. I have to say...she looked pretty happy in the photos...but I shudder to think what might have happened to her because they weren't known for paying the most attention.
And she was like 10 at the time. My dear sweet Puddin. She lived to be 17 partially because I made sure she never was back at the lake.
Let's see how you are going to make this pool dream happen!
The heat has now hit here too! UGH! I took down my pool last year and I'm wishing I kept it!
Good luck with the pool. They come in many price points so if not this year then maybe next?
I think I'd be happy (and could fit) in the first pic's pool. Move over doggies! Here comes a cannonball!
Great images! I especially like the last one!
I hope you can get your pool, you would enjoy it tremendously, I'm sure.
Hugs, Cindy
Your pool will be rather nasty quite fast if You let the dogs bathe in it :-) :-) :-)
My first dog loved to swim. around in the ocean and could do that all day :-) I only called her back in to the beach every now and again so she could rest some :-)
Have a great day!

Luckily, dogs can swim!!
I thought I had a pool when my son was small.
But beyond his safety, was one of my fears for the safety of my cats.
I think they fallen on the edge of the water and trying to get out and sliding with their little paws .. I panicked, then gave up.
But the dogs seem to have so much fun :)
I loved the photos.
