Runs in the Family!

Well, it's over.

I decorated the yard with ghosts, including a HUGE one with a pumpkin head. I lit the trees with orange lights, lined the steps with jack-o-lanterns and tried to make the front porch "magical". I got a few little Spiderman trick-a-treaters, a couple of Princess's and a very cute Fairy and even a devil in a red cape Maltese stopped by!

But then the carloads and vans started pulling up and dropping off kids in hoodies carrying pillowcases. A couple of them had TWO, requesting a treat for their "cousin". Oh well, I do think it would have been nice if they had at least SOME kind of costume. I noticed that many of the houses had not turned on their lights at all this year. So, not too long after that I turned off my porch-light and headed off to my sisters.

She had a great Halloween party, completely with a big FEAST! They were serving hard Apple Cider Ale and Cosmos and a table full of good eats. Music and conversation and "Day of the Dead" movie were all going at the same time. Her home looked "magical and spooky" with most people in costume. It was a fun evening hosted by my sister and her husband, check out their photos! -SCARY!

I know about those hoody, pillow case carrying types...we live on the border!!! LOL It's pretty common here, but I've always told the adults, pushing their baby strollers with a baby just born 2 hours ago, that I give candy just for the kids.

Bonjour! Well I say, if kids stop getting costumed to go trick-or-treating on Halloween night, the world is going no where !!! Let's keep a bit of fantasy in our life, please! You did wonders with makeup, my dear, you looked beautiful ;-) Take care, LuLu

I wish they would go to a little effort and dress up a LITTLE. I don't mind giving candy to teens (I have a few of my own), but I tell mine to at least put on make-up and be polite. :) Glad you had fun at your sisters! :)

Sorry I am late getting here, great faces!!!
