THE BATTLE OF THE SOFA and also MY UGLY FLOOR

First, I want to say, spontaneous photos reveal a lot.
Like what a slob I am.
OK...I hope this isn't too hard to follow,
I'm going to try to do two story lines at one time.
So here we go!

"MOM! He's in my SPOT!"
"Sorry, Poppy, but I'm not waking him up."
The turquoise thing is a 2-tier cat bed with a Target bag sitting on the top tier.

The dilemma of my ugly floor -
After pulling up carpet and having them sanded and refinished (several YEARS ago)
I was left with water-marked floors (I hope it was water)
Someone told me they look "rustic", I think not.
If it was various planks that were darker, maybe, but not box shaped marks.
I am probably going to put down tile....
but there still is an INSANE voice in my head telling me to paint them WHITE.
but so far....I've done nothing.

"Oh, you are BRAVE today Poppy!"
yep, that's dog hair on the floor and a "duck" dog toy.

I walk out of the room only to return and find this...
"How did you do that Poppy?"
Dog toys everywhere...
Yes, the buttons on the sofa need to be replaced
but luckily I can take spare ones off of the damaged love-seat...more on that, in a later post.

"Wow, you must be in a good mood today Blue."

"Hey! What's going on here?"

"Well played Jimmy. Well played."

Nobody would even notice those things if you hadn't mentioned them. I just love seeing the pooches. Did you get a new camera?

OMG Nita! they were glaring out me as I looked at the photos! I felt I had to explain. You wouldn't believe my kitchen table right now, it's far from the perfection I see on everyone else's blogs....anyway
nope, same camera as always!

I'd feel right at home! lol! We have what we affectionately (not) refer to as a Sophie tsunami about every 2 days (fur waves crash up against our sofas). I comb her out, and it just keeps coming! Ah well. And your floors look much better than ours. I would be afraid if I painted the floors white, then the next day all I would see would be scratch marks from their nails.
:) xo

I love the look on Jimmy's face in the last photo.

My house is a pig style (as my mother would say). Having construction going on for two months, I've just given up.

You floors look pretty good from here. DON'T paint them white! You'll regret it. The WORST to keep clean.

Pam, Yes, of course you are right.
I've been told by people who have painted their floors, not to do it.
So I'm sure I won't. I just have to stop looking at those pretty Pinterest photos of perfect glossy white CLEAN floors.
I think we always want what we can't have...(probably why I straighten my hair every morning and always come home with a head full of curls). I need to just accept the facts.
thanks! xoxo

Steve, Yes, my Jimmy cracks me up.
He always watches what the others are doing and then just kinda worms his way in.
I won't paint them White....I just need people to keep telling me that. I suppose that's why I wrote it on the blog...to have people tell me not to do it.
sigh.
a Pigsty? your house? I doubt that very much. :) My Dad used to say THAT to me all the time when I was young (and he was probably right) so now I'm SUPER self-conscious about messes. Oh, I'm still a slob but I do feel ever so guilty about it.

They are constant entertainment!
Go for it?
ah oh! Now you have me thinking about it again since you paint your floor on your boat and I do love it!
(porch and floor paint latex enamel?)

I didn't notice anything of what You mentioned. Over here the floors are covered in black fur, all are shedding right now and it's just impossible to keep the floors clean :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.

Yes, life is easy when I'm here at home. I wish I could be here all the time. Sigh...someday!
