Well, I am sick with the flu and my brain is addled with NyQuil and Diet Pop. But I must have a tip, so today is a simple one. Always check both your washing machine and dryer before starting! Cats and kitties love warm towels and clothes in a dryer (this is my cat "Ghost" as I was folding the "doggie" towels)... and they have even been known to investigate/snuggle into a pile of clothes in a washing machine....
Yes, unfortunately I DO have an tragic story that I could tell you about that involves a big front loader washing machine and a kitten...but since I 'm sure that everyone who reads my blog has a vivid imagination, I will not elaborate any further except to say the woman had to be given tranquilizers to calm down.

O.M.G! This is my greatest fear about my animals and my children when they were small. Because of that fear my washer & dryer were and still are major off limits to the animals.
This is a good tip for animals and children.
First off I am sending you GET WELL WISHES..I am so sorry you have the flu....bummer

Thanks Sassy! I KNOW I was ALWAYS paranoid but after that happened to someone I know, well now I am a total freak about it!
Kary! I'm feeling a bit better. I have been drinking stuff with LOTS of Vitamin C (I should have been doing that all along!)HA!
My very first post on my blog was about Ghost! He was lost for 1 month and 3 days but I finally got him back (thanks to microchipping! He was in another town! If you want to know more about it all, I went into GREAT detail in that post! LOL!)
hi cindi...glad to hear you are feeling a bit better! i can't wait to see what you do with your finds! teddy likes to roll in dirty dish towels BEFORE i wash them. they smell like food! crazy puppy!!!
Oh, Cindi! That is an AWFUL story! I will be triple careful from now on. My kids and my cats have never been that interested in the washer/dryer thank goodness! Once, when I lived in CA, a big old alligator lizard got in my laundry basket (It think Luna brought him in as a gift and he got away from her). When I loaded the wash, I seriously almost had a heart attack! LOL!! I hope you are feeling better, my friend! Take care of yourself! Lots of naps! xoxox Pam

oh gosh, that's horrible. we have a front loading washer too, but its a small one with a weird smell so the cats tend to stay away from it, fortunately.
Hope you are feeling better for the weekend! Ghost looks like my dear past-away Chloe. And she was a ghost too. She would come in my studio so silently that she would startle me late at night, just standing there and looking at me! Take care, LuLu
Hi Cindi and sweet Louie

5 days to go......
sending love to both of you...
