Maybe it's because lately I've become obsessed with ADO and all the artists Etsy shops. I just sit there and stare in envy. Then I look at my crude work...Ugh!! Lumpy, bumpy and horrible lettering, to say nothing of their sad whiskers....AAARRGGHHHH!!!!!!
So here they are:
It was hard to get them to stay on the table!
They didn't want to be photographed,
and can't say I blame them!
They kept trying to run off.
Well, all of them except that crazy white one.

I think you are being way too hard on yourself! I think they are adorable and whimsical! Don't get caught up in how good you think other people's art is. I've been in that trap before and it's just depressing. I finally started to bloom once I gave up trying to compare myself to others and just did what was fun. You've got a great style, relax and go with it!
That white cat looks a little maniacal, which adds to his charm!
Don't change a thing! Jeez, I adore those! You want them to have a bit of hand-made feel to them. They're like amazingly unique folk art. Fantastic! Reach around, pat yourself on the back for me.
hey you! yeah, I'm back, and you're being too hard on yourself. do I need to come out there and kick you in the ass?
You can develop and change and that will come, but in the meantime you need to enjoy and realize that what you may not be happy with (lumps and bumps) is exactly what someone else loves about it.
Besides, if you plan to sell your stuff, if you put it down all the time, why would anyone want to buy it?
Over the past 20+ years of making and selling I've learned that sometimes the piece I dislike the most, for whatever reason, is often the first one that sells.
Enjoy your talent, the fact that you like to create, and the accolades from others that like what you are making.
Even though it can be hard, STOP beating yourself up!
Sassy, Autumn and Denise.....

Thanks so much you guys!
I'm so happy I have all of you in my Blogger world, giving it to me straight. I will try to keep my focus on what I'M creating and not worry about everyone else.
Thanks again....
