I still have not broken my good healthy-eating choices lifestyle thing.
Usually it's pretty easy.
I have discovered lots of things I like to eat and that are good for me.
But a few weeks ago when I got the call that my Grandfather had passed away, after I hung up the phone, my thoughts immediately went to Oreo cookies. I wanted to stuff my face with them.
But I didn't.
After all this stuff with my Ruby.
I wanted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream....smothered in Hot Fudge.
But I didn't.
I did come home and thaw out some frozen cherries, which I stirred in some Fat Free Cool Whip.
OK, I admit that I first opened the cool Whip container and just took a big lick.
Or two.
I live alone, I can do that.
And even when the boss ordered in pizza for lunch for everyone in honor of it being the last day for one of the other vets who is leaving for a new job...
I didn't eat any.
Yes, I did leave the building and go out and buy some sliced turkey and a banana and some fig newtons.
I didn't have any even though everyone in the building was snacking on it all afternoon.

I'm going to do this if it kills me...
well, actually I'm going to do this so that it DOESN'T kill me.
Thank God there's no fat or cholesterol in UV Blue Vodka or Moscato wine.
So, what do you WANT to eat when in times of stress or some emotional conflict?
and more importantly, WHAT do you actually munch on?

Bess you and your willpower! I head for Oreos, peanut M&M's and cheesecake. Keep it up! I'm proud of you! I hope Ruby's doing well.

I feel your pain! What do I eat when I'm stressed? SUGAR - anyway I can!!!

I don't like oreos very much at all. I'm sorry you are having a rough time. I will be answering your email...just haven't had the time yet. Personally, I don't know how you resisted the pizza. That is something I cannot resist if it's in front of me. I love bread and cheese. When I want to binge it is on bread and cheese. But I haven't done this in a long time.

Have you had the laughing cow cheeses? I get the blue cheese flavored and spread it on granny smith apples...yum so good. I love frozen berries too. Blackberries or blue those.

Sounds like you are doing so well on your diet. I'm continuing to lose too. I feel way better physically than I did...but still lots of things need to change financially.....seriously....not doing well in that department.

Hey's been a while, but I'm slowly getting back to reading all my "lovelies" wonderful blogs. Sorry to read about your grandmother and quite frankly, I probably would have eaten a the whole bag of Oreos if your grandmother was as much loved as mine!!

I don't think I eat when I'm sad, in fact, if it were soul-healthy, I should remain sad all the time since that's the only time I don't eat!!! LOL

You're willpower is admirable, but if you do falter, don't beat yourself up, tomorrow is another day...take it from someone who's been on the diet roller coaster since I was 5 years old. As for Vodka, no fat, but all those carbs, but then, who's counting!!?? LOL

Have a good one and as for the Cool Whip, I too indulge when I'm alone, but I have to use a spoon...2 other people here at home, but then, I don't have to tell them about my lose finger, right!!??
