6666

My email total just hit 6666 today.
Yep, before long it would be 7000.
I just know it would.
I used to hang on to paper, bills, receipts
and now it's email.
I started to go through them but...
I just bit the bullet and deleted them ALL!
I really hope there wasn't anything in there that I need because it's GONE.
I also deleted, the deleted.
I should feel good about it but...
I kinda feel sick.
WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!!!

I did the same thing last month. 14K deleted emails in that folder ... gone! If there was something in there that was useful, I have told myself that I wouldn't have deleted it in the first place. Bye bye, old email. Now to work on the overly-full inbox.

I am laughing at you. yes laughing. what do you need old emails for??? I say this as I'm going through old magazine articles I'm purging and the one in my hand is from 2004! Let me be a warning to you, save less of everything.

Oh Connie!
I deleted the INBOX!
6666 of them and
then I deleted all the deleted
so everything is gone...Forever.
Gulp.
But yes, it was nice to wake up to only 12 emails this morning!
:D

Sharon,
I always wanted to go back and look at things again
or maybe it was an email from a friend
or an idea.
Or an address
or a password or....
But it's all GONE!
(but not all the old magazines in storage containers downstairs! LOL!
but I'm going to sell them to people like you and me
and my booth at the Antique and Collectibles place when I get it!)
XOXOXO

Good luck! I sympathize. I let mine get out of hand too, and it's a real pain to deal with them.

I did the same thing a few days ago, and it took me hours.lol. I don't think I've deleted anything earthshattering but I might well be wrong. They had to go though. I got a new laptop, and wanted to get rid of all my excess baggage. I'm doing that in my house too. I've sent about 300 books to charity shops, and I'm doing a carboot sale this weekend to get rid of several more. I will still have about 2,000 left and that's still way too many. I'm getting rid of loads of stuff. It started out when I decided my stash was way past my life expectancy, but as it's turned out, none of my stash has gone, I simply can't let it go! help!

Tammy,
Now that I've deleted them I'm getting all crazy about deleting the new ones ASAP!
but it does feel good.

Jean,
I was thinking that they were probably slowing up my computer and my phone.
Not sure if they were but still, I'm glad they are gone!
XOXOXO

Lesley,
It took you hours?
You must have gone through them and looked at them!
I was going to do that too but then I found it too overwhelming so I just deleted it ALL without looking!

I never thought about the time it would take to read all the books I want to!
Oh NO!!!!!
I best get busy reading!

What's a carboot sale? Is it like a garage or yard sale?
I tried that a couple of times and NEVER again.
That's why I want to get that booth, so I can sell some stuff
and what doesn't sell, I'll donate!

It's hard to let go!
I'm doing it a little by little, but it's really HARD.
I know you can do it too!
XOXOXOXO

I'm proud of you cindi! You won't miss them one bit. Besides, that's almost the Devils number. It had to go! ;)
