OK, So Today I took a Vacation Day...

because it was supposed to be beautiful out and it is. But the REAL reason I took it was because I was having gravel rock delivered today for my driveway, which has turned into more of a dirt/mud driveway.

It's a cool 71 degrees with a light wind, perfect for manual labor of spreading the rock...well, THEY still have not come with the rock, I called and they gave me a lame excuse and said that it would be here between 3:00 - 4:00!? I hate being bitchy but I told them that I had specifically taken the day off for this project and that they were pretty much blowing my day. They said that they would try to be here was soon as possible.

Well, it's supposed to rain tonight and I need to get that spread out before it's a mud pit again. So I am not too happy. I've been cleaning house (that doesn't help my mood) and I don't want to be all worn out before the rock comes. So whine, whine, whine. I'm taking a break now, going through my photos of my paintings. Looking at them to see if they would make good prints. Sigh.....and then Blogger started acting up and it took 1/2 hour to load my pics! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Thanks Sassy! They finally delivered the rock at 3:00! Then at 3:45 it started to rain... at least I got SOME of it spread first! Thanks for the nice comment about my paintings!

These cards are just adorable...love them!!! Well, it's good to know that this problem with deliveries are universal!! Got email from a friend today telling me about the nightmare she had with UPS yesterday. I needed an uplifting email and she provided it by telling me about her grueling experience with UPS delivery. I almost peed in my pants I was laughing so hard...of course she knew I would, but it was harrowing at the time. We just have to laugh more about these little inconveniences in our life. Have a wonderful weekend and don't get carried away with all those chocolate bunnies!!

xxoo,
Georgina

i love the brush strokes on "old cat" - but i have to say it looks more like a pre-caffeine or post-catnip cat than an old cat to me ;)

Ha! Thanks Purr!
I called him Old Cat because I thought he looked like he didn't have his "choppers" in! LOL!
But now I think you might be right! He does look more like post-catnip!

i am a hypocrite too. as i am standing there carving the lamb my daughter asked....so that is an actual lamb's leg. multiple groans were heard around the table. i told her that we eat chicken legs and veal and ham, etc.. she looked sick. i think we should all be forced to kill what we eat and then we would all be vegetarians! i was a very strict vegetarian for 15 years until i became pregnant with my son and had mcdonald's hamburger cravings. go figure!

Hey Jaz! I went 8 years without eating red meat and then one night while I was out to dinner with a friend, she was having steak and I asked to try just "a bite"... I've been eating red meat ever since and that was about 8 years ago!
I just don't know how it happened but I just had this overpowering urge for red meat. I'm sad.
Thanks for understanding!
