I don't even know what the heat index is right now.
How HOT is it where you are at?
I had to work this morning in this weather and I thought I was going to throw up.
Just too damn HOT.
Last year about this time, I said I was going to get a pool for this Summer...
and I didn't.
REALLY regretting it.
But NEXT year, when I have a privacy fence around the whole yard...
I will. (I really hope I will.)
Found this on YouTube.
Gawd, I really WANT a pool!

Only 80s here but really, really humid. It was 82 the other day and it felt cold.
Fun video.
We took down our pool 2 years ago and I really regret it. If I had only know my brother would be moving in, I would have left it up. But really who knew it was going to be this hot this year?!
It's 6 am and we're having 61F and that's really warm this early in the morning. We usually have around 51F at this time in the morning.
Warm for us but I guess it's heavenly For You when having 102! I can't even imagine how hot that is :-)
Have a great day!
Christer.
With the heat index it's been hovering around 102-105, which when you add humidity, it's just LOVELY. We've been inside. My dogs don't even WANT to go out. I don't blame them one little bit.
Maybe we should fill the bathtub and throw in a beach toy. Sit in there and sip a tropical beverage. It might help! xox
Hey, Cindi, been reading about the heatwave out your way. We desert types are having beautiful weather, in the upper 80's to lower 90's, with a few variations. It's the rainy season for us, that is, we're lucky if we get 4" of rain/year!! LOL We're still under strict water restrictions but Mother Nature has been kind this year...about time too!!
Anyway, we have no pool, but I'm very tempted to get a kiddie pool for our backyard. The other day, we were going to a friends house for dinner and this man with his 2 little ones, were out in their front yard in a baby pool...really funny, but they looked like they were having a good time and cooling off too.
Stay safe and drink lots of water, when out in the sun, beleive it not, wear clothing that will protect your skin...around here, people who work outdoors wear long sleeve shirts and never get to the point where you're going to throw up...get yourself inside a.s.a.p. and start hydrating. Take it from this desert rat!!
xxoo,
Georgina
Yes- I was thinking about a kiddie pool too. Just something to sit in. Doesn't need to be big and deep. Heck, a glass of ice water poured over my head worked to cool me down after walking in the parade yesterday (July 7th).
