BODY HEAT

I've been really looking forward to Fall.
I love the Autumn colors
and the cooler temperatures.
Yesterday when I woke up it was 58 degrees in the house
and 39 outside!
I refused to turn on the heat.
I grew up with a Dad who would say -
"Put another sweater on if you're cold!"
So we toughed it out because temps are supposed to climb a little bit.
In the meantime, the critters were using body heat to stay comfy.
Hattie is in the back, Raini in the middle and Louie snoozing in the front.

Then Ghost crawled in...

Pretty soon Mimsy walked up,
"Is there room for me?"
"NO!" they all grumbled.
"Sure there is!" exclaimed Mimsy

She climbed in - "I'll just sort of circle in right over here..."

"Oh Lord! This is ridiculous! I'm outta here!" said Ghost

Mimsy smirked with satisfaction as Hattie noticed the camera and posed.

Louie woke up "I can't breathe! Someone's on top of me,!"

Raini sat up, saw Nora and said "OH NO!"
"I'm leaving before SHE tries to get in here!"

And then I said "Want to go outside?"
and everyone except the cats did.

This is sooo funny...but I have to say obviously your house was too cold if they were doing that! I think it's funny how mine will just sit on top of each other without a care for who they are sitting or lying on. Mine are all spread out around the room right now...a sign that the temperature in my house is just right. Turn your heat on! I loved seeing little Hattie poking her face out and looking at the camera.

Thanks Nita!
After I finish my Kanga book, I actually do plan on do others about the rest of the gang!(and of course a whole "series" on Blue!)
I know that ALL of us think it's cold outside but I keep thinking how next Spring after going through sub-zero temps, I will be flinging open the windows when it's 59 because it will seem too Hot! LOL!
Don't worry, it's already warmed a little bit (and I do have doggy sweaters if it's too chilly.) it's just that once the furnace goes on, my heating bill sky rockets.
Thanks for commenting!
XOXO

That is THE BEST!! Really brightened my morning!
You fit the words to their antics and faces so well, Cindi - a born character watcher and... author.

Hubby says to put on a jumper (we call sweaters, jumpers over here), when it gets chilly. Electricity is too damn expensive these days.
The animals have the right idea - bundle up and get some heat exchange going... well, in theory it works well, and with fewer bodies in a small box :D
Great post!!

Vicki,
I'm so glad it made your morning better!
and yes, I always imagine what my critters are thinking! LOL!
It's warmed up a bit. I have only two layers on now but I still am wearing my flip-flops, so you know it's not that cold yet!
I think this week will be OK but I know that in a few more weeks I'll finally have to turn on the heat!
Ugh!

:-) :-) :-)

Only Nova likes to stay close to anyone else, the rest feel hot when it's around 50F outside, as it has been as warmest today.

Have a great day!
Christer.

I'm snorting with laughter! Thanks
for that post.

Christer,
I wonder if it's because Nova has a thinner coat? Or maybe it's because of all the trauma she went through before coming into your forever home. Maybe that's why she stays close.

Patty,
You're welcome! LOL!
