BUTTON UPDATE

Here's an update on Button.
Her right eye is healed. Well, as much as it is going to heal. Doc thinks she sees some light and dark and I agree. She RUNS around with the big play area and seems to have no fear, I almost thought she was seeing but then she ran right into the back of Blue.
Blue doesn't pay her any mind. Just stays his distance from her.
Her left eye is still healing and will have no vision and is going to permanently look to the side. But she has adapted so well and runs and plays with the other dogs and maneuvers around objects very well....

This accident could have been so much worse. It could have been fatal. I feel extreme sadness for her. But she seems to have just accepted the blindness as a new way of life. It's amazing how she still runs around and follows me and the other little ones. She demands to be up on my lap and if I don't reach down immediately for her, she jumps up and worms her way in without any help. She's always has been impatient and bossy! Not much has changed except she wants to be carried down the flight of stairs (but always runs up them on her own.  She is a fearless little one.

Oh..what a sweetie. It's amazing how easily dogs adapt. She probably knows what she did that made Blue mad and Blue probably knows he should have not gotten mad.

So happy to hear she is adjusting. Give her a little squeeze for me.

Dear friend,

it excuses so much silence but the a lot of job it holds me distant from all blogs of friends.
Today I have read what has happened to your Button, hook a lot of animal and it is sorry for this accident, I hope that everything of him resolves well.

She remembers that if eyes don't see, he sees with heart and it feels a lot of love of so many people that they love.
kisses

Aw, she is such a little trooper. Please give her a yummy treat from Auntie Pam. :) She seems to be doing great, and enjoying her life. Go, Button! xoxo Pam

The eyes aren´t that important to dogs, so I´m not surprised that she almost keeps on going as usual. As long as nothing changes to much in her surroundings You won´t notice that she is almost blind.
Thanks for the update!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Glad to hear she is doing well and acclimating...what's great about animals is that they are survivors and innately know how to do it....I had Mini Schnauzer that had SRDS at the age of 4 and was blind until she passed at the age of 8...you'd swear she was faking it!
