(this is not my grandfather, but this photo has the "feeling" of him)
My grandfather passed away on Thursday.Technically my "Step" - grandfather.
But what does that matter?
He had been in my life for 40 years.
My paternal Grandfather died when I was 12.
A grumpy cranky man.
My maternal, gone before I was born, apparently a mean drunk.
But this man was a happy easy-going man who loved his little cat.
I am sad... but also happy.
Sad that he is no longer here,
But happy that he is no longer in pain and reunited with his loved ones again.

It's tough to see a loved one in pain. I think to say there's any happiness in this situation, is the stiff upper-lipped Cindi. It's tough any way you slice it.
My condolences.
I'm so sorry to read about Your loss! But as You say now he doesn't have to feel any pain.
Take care.
Christer.
Oh, Cindi, I am so sorry. I love this picture of him with his cat. Take care of you - xox
I am sending you a gentle warm hug...catch my spirit and know how much he loved you! Peace be with you, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
Cindi -- so sorry for your loss.
Cindi, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather. And thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me that tip on a garden nursery in coal valley. Last time I was there was about 5 years ago when I was buying pumpkins and gourds.

I'm so sorry to hear of his passing but yet happy to know you had such a lovely man in your life.
So sorry to hear of your loss, too, Cindi.
I have been ruminating about what to do with my relatives' pets when the time comes. I will take my mother's genteel cat, but hope my 2 thugs don't traumatize her. Can't believe I'm approaching an age where I have to count to make sure I should still be around when considering a pet. What happened to your grandfather's cat?
I'm so sorry you lost your Grandfather...I missed this post. I lost one grandfather way before I was born...like 10 years....and the other I lost when I was 12. I adored him and it was my first big loss. So sorry you don't have him any more.
