Blue

Posting from my phone.
He's not feeling well.
Didn't eat last night or this morning but did eat some scrambled eggs.
Took the stairs slowly and seems unsure of his balance.
His third eyelid was almost completely covering his left eye.
As I drove here to work at the vet clinic, he kept nodding off.
He slowly wagged his tail when seeing everyone when usually he's bouncing around.
Blood tests are being run and currently waiting on results.
Please send him positive healing thoughts.
Update: He has pancreatitis.
I'd told it's serious but not life-threatening.
They did a lot of bloodwork and he's now on his second bag of fluids.
They gave him several injections.
One was an antibiotic.
Another to stimulate his appetite.
and another for pain.
He's starting to look better. His eyes aren't so droopy now.
And he ate a few spoonfuls of special lowfat gastrointestional canned food.
They don't think it's his diet because I feed him the good grain-free food.
They think it's more age-related I guess.
More info as I get it.....

Oh dear Cindi, just the one worded title, and I knew something was amiss.
I am so, so sorry to read this about your most darling Blue boy.

I am, and will be continually, sending out positive thoughts of healing, and wrapping him in a warm golden light.
May he be be steady and strong and happily wagging his tail again very, very soon.

My thoughts are with you too, as I know the strain is immense in this awfully full month.

Much love to you both.

Tammy,
You must have been typing your comment as I was sending you an email.
My niece just left.
She came over to give him his injections.
He's doing better but not well yet.
I would have brought him home whether they had said I could or not.
Luckily they said yes.
He needs me with him.
And he will go back to work with me tomorrow again where they can continue to watch him and give him what he needs.
I'll give him an extra hug and kiss from you.

Oh! I worried when I saw the title too. I'm sending my prayers and best wishes.

Thank you Jean.
He seems to be moving a bit more this morning and he ate a half of canned food with no hesitation, so that is good. Thanks for the the prayers/wishes.

He definitely looked under the weather when you posted yesterday and when I saw the photo of him sleeping, he really seemed to be much more comfortable. Poor guy...and you.

Thank you Steve.
I'm at work right now and he's here with me.
They are holding off on more fluids for now.
Waiting to see if he will eat and drink on his own.
I made a mix of his dry with the special canned as per instructions from the vet and he wouldn't eat. Then one of the vet techs gave him some in her hand and he ate it.
So now I'm feeding him by hand.
(I'm can't help wondering if he's now milking it a bit.)
Thanks for checking in on us!
