WORK CALENDAR

They are making a calendar at work.
I guess they intend to try to sell them.
So, when they decided to do this, they gave each of us a month.
Our month would be a photo of one of our pets.
I wanted November because that's Blue's birthday month.
Unfortunately it was already claimed.
So I took May (thinking May Flowers).
Lily had April but her bunny costume for her dog didn't work out for her as planned, so she asked me to trade.
So I/Blue got April.
Blue doesn't like costumes.
He doesn't like props.
He refuses to be "posed" (except for that time when he was next to Santa!) and if I try,
he gets greatly annoyed and lets out a big "ROAR" which causes a lot of barking in my house
and then he runs and hides under the kitchen table.
OK, hide is probably the wrong word.
It's hard to hide when you are 155lbs.
So I had to improvise.
I don't have PhotoShop or anything, nor do I know how to use it if I had access to it.
Therefore I got a 8x10 print of one of his photos and then I drew and colored in an umbrella, raindrops and his big white paw on paper and cut him and all the drawings out and then laid them on the counter at work and took a photo of it.
So here's my submission for our month -
"APRIL SHOWERS"

A PERFECT solution - combining a gorgeous picture of dear Blue and your artwork! Very clever. I like it :)

I can only imagine what his "roar" sounds like. Must be huge! Oh the indignation! Poor Blue, lol.

Thank you Vicki,
The girl at work that's really good with computers said she could even out the marker lines so that the blue color would be solid.
I'm glad or else I'd would probably be compelled to go back over it again!
LOL!

Yes, Blue ROARS. Sometimes he'll bark but when he means business, it's a roar.
I should go back and find the post I did about how his roar saved the day....
Actually, now that I think about it, he's saved the day a couple of times with it!
XOXOXO

I love it! You are so creative Cindi!

It's perfect as is, but if you need an editing software program that's free and easy try picmonkey.

Doreen,
Thank you!
I have used Picmonkey once but I didn't try any of the extras.
I really need to go back and check it out again.
Thanks for suggesting it!

Tammy,
I figured you'd like the raindrops!
LOL!
I had already planned on drawing flowers if I had the month of May
so that's why I thought of April Showers.

I have actually posted a few videos
but to be honest I'm very anal about things in the background.
In a photo, if my shoe is laying on the floor, I can usually just crop it out but a video would show my sloppiness.
But maybe I will just relax and just focus on my critters.
(and pick up my shoes! LOL!)

Would love to hear an audio file of Blue's ROAR. Not that I want you to aggravate him deliberately to get it... but it sounds amazing!
Gorgeous big Blue's bellow, lol :)

I've finally caught up again :-) I really like this one :-)

I also like the ones with the dachshunds :-)

I too had one of those rubbery containers for the dog food but Hector soon learned how to open up the lid :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.

Vicki,
Next time I see it coming, I'll try to grab my phone to record it!
LOL!
Truthfully, all the dogs go crazy when it happens.
Ping tries to protect me and gets in his face and so does Ricochet.
That always scares me, since they are small and he could easily take them out.
And Jimmy, he barks really hard at Blue when he roars but Jimmy is also always trembling when he does. He knows he's taking a chance!
But yes, I'll try to catch it for you!
xoxoxo

Christer,
I'm glad you like them!
Thank you!

I'm sure Jimmy would chew the lid off too, except I have it placed high on the cabinet. I did have a wicker dog kennel in front of the cabinet and I caught Jimmy ON the cabinet so now I've moved the kennel!
Yep, he knows it's up there, he just can't get to it.
I'm glad you got caught up!
I'm always trying to catch up too!
:D :D :D
