HOODIE TIME

Temps have dropped!
Last night it dipped below 30 degrees they say.
I brought in what plants I could
And it looks like my rose blooms survived the night.
Inside the house, it's COLD.
It shows 55 on the thermostat and it's almost 1 o'clock in the afternoon
but I'm not turning on the heat yet.
Next week it's supposed to hit high 60's, maybe even 70, during the day.
Nope, not yet.
It's definitely sweatshirt weather.
Time to bundle up.
Jimmy Chew has his hoodie on,
looking all gangsta.

He's been a bad boy again,
But that's nothing new.
Somehow he pulled down the bag of dog food.
It's a ziploc top.
I thought I had it zipped.
Apparently not.
This is a photo of the laundry room floor.

Sigh.
I'm now pouring the bags of food into a big Rubbermaid container with a top that snaps closed and storing it on top of the cabinet.
Yes, I was angry.
But Jimmy charmed his way out of it.  Again.
Here's THE LOOK he gives when he's in trouble.

His cuteness has saved his butt SO many times.

OMG. If you paint a picture of him with a pile of dog food on the floor spilled from the bag, I WILL BUY IT! Please let me know the particulars of purchase. I am serious about this. Take your time, I know you don't like to be given deadlines to meet. I would love it in that finish you did recently with a brighter coloring. Please email me to discuss.

I went back and checked, it's inktense. Can't wait to hear from you. Title the picture "when Jimmy Chew chewed the bag"

Oh my! I'm so in love with Jimmy Chew!! Look at that face. Yes, so true, you just couldn't stay mad at him.
ADORABLE!!!

I'm sure he thought he could feed all of your fur crew - his tribe - while you were out, and have a gangsta party.
Lock away the alcohol - just in case, next time...

Vicki,
Yes, It's really hard to stay mad at that face.
The thing is , I was home when it happened!
I had just gotten home from work and let the dogs out and then back in and it was dinner time for the dogs.
I walked into the kitchen and he ran into the laundryroom/dog room and then I heard a noise and saw all the little ones run towards it and there was Jimmy.
Apparently I was taking too long serving them.
Yeah, he is always causing a bit of trouble.
Sigh.
XOXO

Tammy,
I know, :(
Bad timing but they needed sprucing up.
And I do have sweaters and things for them.
This morning when I got up and looked at the thermostat it read 52!
I turned on the heat.
Dang it.

I don't have as much patience as you think!
There was definitely some yelling going on.
But yeah, I couldn't stay mad for very long.
and I'm actually preferring the Rubbermaid containers because it's easier to scoop!
xoxoxo

That little hooligan! Impossible to scold a face like that. Yes, I believe a rubbermaid tub is in order. Or even a metal one if you are afraid he will Jimmie Chew his way through the plastic. I bought a small galvanized can with a lid (looks like a miniature garbage can) to store my bird seed in so the rats can't get into it. The handle comes up to lock the lid down.

Jan,
Yep, he's a cutie!
and a stinker.
I know what kind of can you are talking about. That's the kind I use to put the dog poop in that I scoop!
I have the Rubbermaid very high and it's big enough to hold a BIG bag of food, which I always get. But thanks for the suggestion!

He would make a great star of a book about a cute, mischievous dog. Do you ever look at dogshaming.com? <a href="http://www.dogshaming.com/2015/10/no-concept-of-personal-space/>Here's</a> an example.

Jean,
i was just writing that to Sharon!
LOL!
That Jimmy was inspiring me to write/illustrate a book about him.
:) :) :)

I've seen some photos of dog shaming but I'll go check out that link!
Thank you!

OMG! OMG! OMG!!!!! Could he be any cuter?? I'm cracking up here! What a sweetheart he is! How could you ever be mad at that face?? It's great that you were able to capture him with that 'I'm sorry' look in his face too!

Looks like there's never a dull moment in your house! lol

Doreen,
He is the cutest thing but ....
last night I found him up on the cabinet standing next to the Rubbermaid containers!!!!
I have one of the little dogs wicker crates next to the cabinet so he must have used that for a step.
Time to rearrange the laundry room AGAIN!
(It wasn't too hard to capture that "I'm Sorry" look because he uses it ALL THE TIME!)
And you are so right, never a dull moment.
:/

Thanks for commenting!

It almost feels like a defeat when we give in to the chill and turn on the heat. Mine has been on for a couple of weeks now, since our last cold spell that dropped this drafty old house down close to 60. I'm more of a wimp, I guess, since I could never survive 55 degrees inside by choice. I admire your resolve.

Connie,
LOL!
I was tempted but I put on some socks.
(I hate wearing socks) but then overnight my bed got very crowded.
I woke up to find both Nora and Blue on the edge of it!
They never usually get on the bed so they had to be COLD.
I went downstairs in the morning and looked at the thermostat and it said 52.
I turned it on.
But you are SO right!
I felt like the weather DEFEATED me. Grrrrr.
Although it's back off again now. (It's in high 60's here during the day)
Yep. I don't mind cooler weather but I hate a heat bill!
Thanks for commenting!
