I've gotten this far so far!

OK, after a very frustrating morning yesterday where I just about tossed the sewing machine out into the snow, I finally have gotten the bobbin to stop jamming up! I am truly "self-taught" when it comes to just about everything and I haven't used the sewing machine in quite awhile. I tried blasting it with canned air in case it was clogged with dust and I tried taking apart the bobbin "area" a FEW times and of course I have no idea where I put the manual! (It's probably in between some of my magazines that I've collected!

I would stop every now and then to CALM down. Sometimes I'd check out a few blogs or turn up the heat higher in an effort to thaw out my water pipes (yeh, it was a fun day) the temperature outside was something like 12 BELOW and I didn't dare to venture out (I did go outside long enough to run the car for a bit so that it would start if I needed it.)

So, after the water finally came back on and I had a nice hot bath, I sat down with a glass of wine and watched YouTube videos on "sewing machine problems".

Nothing worked.

Then I rethreaded everything and tried it again and "Ta-Da!" -it worked. So between last night and today I have gotten this far... 5 cats and one dog sewn.

So Stage One is now completed.

Oh, by the way, that's "Ghost", he was the subject of my very first post!

YAY! You had a victory over the sewing machine! I know EXACTLY how this feels. Sometimes, I am sewing, and ALL I do is change from one thing to another (not touching one single piece of machinery) and it jams. It's all I can do not to hit it with a sledge hammer. Usually when I rethread it, it starts working again. I love your cats (and Ghost, too). Can't wait to see them finished. Stay warm! It is seriously too friggin' cold outside. xox Pam

Hello You!!

I feel you and surely relate to this. I had moment when I would yell at my sewing machine for acting up and then trying find the dam manual. I see you been busy and having a fabulous time that's great!!! I'm sooooo excited to see the final pieces come together. You are awesome and full of spirit girl. I'm loving your cat he looks like my cat but long hair with one blue eye and one yellow - he's not deaf though. I'm working how to get the video camera working and so far is pretty good. Have a few things I need to do before I start teaching on line. I'm excited!! Though I am trying to minimize the whole intro and info keeping it fun fun!! Well sweetie great job on the dolls. We had a huge snow storm last night and more this thursday yikes! Bring it on!!

Cheers to you

I found you over at Junker Janes this morning. You had me cracking up giving Jane advice on getting older. I had to hop over here and see where it was coming from!
I'd say you did pretty well taming that crazy machine. These are some crazy good shapes and I am dying to see what you do next.
