PLEASE SAY A PRAYER AND/OR SEND POSITIVE GOOD ENERGY

I brought Button to work with me yesterday and Doc re-examined her. Her retina in the good eye is intact. We won't know for a couple of days about the other one. But right now she is blind. She is not seeing out of the good eye but he said that could be due to swelling of the optic nerve. When that goes down, she might see again...or NOT. He said that it depends on how far the nerve was stretched.
I left Blue and the boys (the terriers/terrors) at the kennel last night so that the house would be calm.
As soon as we got home Button was trotting around the house wagging her tail. She was bumping into things but then she would stop and it looked like she was sniffing the objects. She's always been very brave and hurls her little body up and down furniture and steps etc. (Of course this behavior to what lead to this situation) but after kinda following the other little dogs out in the yard to go potty, I brought her inside. She went into the living room and found the sofa and scampered right up the front. Little Claude was running after her but of course isn't able to get up on the sofa by himself so I placed him up there. He did that "bounce" thing at her to play but she couldn't see it so he walked up to her and she gave him a sniff. Then she put her paw on him and they began their ritual of rolling around with each other playing. I watched them carefully and after a bit broke it up when I was afraid it was getting a little bit rowdy. I didn't want the stitches in her other eye pulling out. Then this morning after everyone had "pottied", I went upstairs to get ready for work. Button usually follows but I placed her in a doggie bed in the living room. As I was getting ready, I turned around and there she was! Somehow she had navigated the stairs. When I went back down, I carried her. I'm afraid of her tumbling down all those steps.So....
Here's my plea:
Whether you are religious or spiritual or whatever you do or do not believe, if you could PLEASE say a prayer or send positive good energy thoughts this way for Button to regain her eyesight, I would be forever indebted to you. Thanks so much! - Cindi

Oh...poor little Button. Of course she is in my thoughts and prayers. Amazing how well she is managing without being able to see. Bless her little heart. I know you are beside yourself with worry. I am sending thoughts your way too. And for Blue too...I know this must be difficult knowing he caused this pain.

I had a friend whose little dachshund was suddenly killed by her big dog. There had been fights over bones...much like your story. Small skirmishes until it escalated one day. The little one would get mad and the big dog picked her up and shook her. My friend stopped it when she saw it happening and decided to never give them bones again or feed them together. But came out in her yard two weeks later to find the little one dead with one puncture wound to her neck.

She knew what had happened...it broke her heart because she loved both dogs. She ended up giving the big dog to a neighbor. She had three other small dogs and just didn't want to take the chance of it happening again.

Take care of yourself and Button. I also know that Shitzu's eyes come out very easily too...so it's not all Blue's fault. If one Shitzu can make another's come out like my friends...then they must come out easily. Horrible for you and Button.

Hang in there.
