OH NO! HOW CAN THIS BE?

So, Sunday was Ping's birthday. I stated that she was 2
but today at work I looked at her records and she's 3!
Oops!
And then my Poppy, who I've told everyone is 4.... Well, she's actually 6!
Now I'm wondering, maybe I'm not 37?

That's funny. I've forgotten how old my toy poodle is, and I would have to pull out his record too. I really don't know how old my kitties are. Two are around 2, and one is under 5 according to the vet, and the other adoptee is somewhere between 6 and 8.

Figuring age is no longer a matter of simply remembering ... it requires math ... which isn't really my thing either.

Su,
LOL! Half of my pets are just estimated ages by the vet too.
A couple of them I actually know the true date of birth but truly, what does it matter? (Except I guess that at 7 years of age is when they start doing senior blood tests.)
Still, it's sometimes startling how fast time flies!

Cynthia,

LOL! I tend to think my animals are older than they really are. I don't know why that is.

As far as my own age, I think that once you get past 30, people stop asking you what your age is, and you just don't even think about it that much. So I sometimes actually DO forget how old I am when I'm filling out a form or anything like that. I'm better at remembering other people's ages than my own.

By the way, I really love the new look of your blog -- it's so nice and cheerful!

Grace,
Oh I NEVER think about them being older! I just can't bear the thought.
I'm definitely in denial.
I don't mind telling my age but I hate when people respond "Omg! you don't look THAT old!" and then they seem to think I should take that as a compliment when I actually just tend to focus on them being shocked that I'm so damn old! LOL!
and I'm so glad you like the look of the blog!
:D

LOLOL!
still laughing at your reply to grace.
i never thought of it that way.
my friend who has the little doxie papito came by yesterday with him. his little face is getting white. i'm not ready for him to be old! i think he's only eight. as they say... age is a state of mind. and lately i haven't even known what DAY it is! so maybe i'm in denial! HAHAHAHA.

Tammy,
Yes, I hate the age thing.
I have had people at work say to a new person, "Guess how old she is! You'll never guess!" I feel like the Crypt-Keeper when they do that. I mean, I suppose it's a compliment to me but I don't feel that way.
And my little Twinkle (my chihuahua) is SO white in the face, she's...9? yeah, 9. LOL!
and yet I don't notice Blue looking white in the face!
Bahahahahahahahahaha!

I agree about it being a state of mind and I can't wait until I no longer have to know what day it is!
XOXOXOXO
